The UK’s leading independent celebrity fashion site has already broken through the ‘million pound mark;’ generating £1.1 million worth of sales for merchants in the past 6 months alone.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 06, 2010 – The MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk site has recently celebrated generating just over £1.1million worth of sales for fashion retailers since January of this year; hitting its quarter 3 target three months ahead of schedule.
The company has put its sharp increase in sales down to a new and improved website, as well as the decision to remove all traditional advertising methods from the site, having listened to user feedback.
The fashion website is now affiliated with over 400 fashion retailers, featuring all of the latest womenswear and fashion accessories. Visitors to the site are invited to steal their favourite celebrity’s style; with a unique ‘tagging’ system which points users towards the place to buy similar, or often the exact garment or accessory the star is wearing.
Visitors can then click on the clothes that take their fancy; directing them straight to the merchant buying page.
Andy Barr, Marketing Director of MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk, commented on the milestone:
“We were overjoyed when we hit the £1.1 million sales mark in just six months, as this would normally be our target for the end of our quarter 3 trading. The site has moved from strength to strength since its launch, and the re-design back in February which saw the removal of traditional advertising from the site really helped to attract new visitors; accumulating in a surge of click-through sales.

CATHOLICS are outraged after discovering rosary beads - sacred objects used in prayer - are being flaunted as a new fashion statement.
The string of beads with a crucifix are now as likely to be found in some jewellery stores as they are in a church, with fashion franchise Diva selling three styles of a rosary necklace with a silver cross pendant for $14.99 each.
Catholic Women's League Australia national president Madge Fahy said it was inappropriate for teenagers to wear the rosary as jewellery.
"It is totally disrespectful to the religious beliefs of Catholics," she said.
"I believe it's an abuse of our religious object.
"Rosary beads are solely used for prayer. They are not a fashion item."
A spokesman for the Adelaide Archdiocese said wearing rosary beads and crucifixes purely as fashion accessories could trivialise their religious significance.
"It might be too much to expect that those wearing these items as fashion statements might consider their deeper meaning, but one could be outrageously optimistic," he said.
However, he said the church hoped fashion wearers might have a spiritual awakening as a result of wearing the beads.
