Lourdes (Lola) Leon is following in her "Material Girl" mom's fashion-forward footsteps.
Madonna's 13-year-old daughter began hyping her new fashion line, Material Girl, through a blog on the collection's Web site on Tuesday.
"I am totally obsessive about '80s shorts. … You know, the kind that makes your butt look kinda big, with a grunge-looking shirt tucked in," she wrote. "It’s kinda nerdy but I love it."
Lola added that the 1980s in general were an obsession of hers, "which is totally amazingly awesome because Material Girl … HELLO! It’s like ’80s themed, which pretty much rocks, so yeah."
The mini fashionista's megastar mom -- who worked with her on the juniors clothing line -- told People.com that the tween is "much more fashion-forward and savvy than I am at this point."
She added that her daughter has "amazing style" and that the collection is "absolutely an extension of her taste."
Still, Madonna isn't alway thrilled with her daughter's choice of clothes.

Just last week President Obama visited with his old buddy, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev at the White House. In an overt effort to demonstrate how he had single-handedly "repaired" the relationship between Russia and the United States, President Obama took the Russian leader out for lunch to a Washington, D.C.-area suburban hamburger joint. The whole event was overly staged and awkward.
What a difference a week makes.
This week it was announced an alleged Russian spy ring had had been caught "red-handed" here in the United States. The ring is accused of operating for years in "deep cover" here in America.
The 10 who were arrested were operating throughout the United States and used tried and true Cold War techniques in their mission, including -- but not limited to -- sending messages in invisible ink, using Morse code, and brush passes.
The alleged spies are charged with working for Russian military intelligence also known as the SVR. Their mission is still to be fully detailed; however the FBI says they sought to establish ties with congressional aides and scientists who work on nuclear weapons development.
Our government intercepted a message from Russian intelligence headquarters in Moscow to two of those arrested. "You were sent to USA for long-term service trip," the message from Moscow. "Your education, bank accounts, car, house etc. -- all these serve one goal: fulfill your main mission, i.e. to search and develop ties in policymaking circles in U.S. and send intels..." the message added.
How is it possible that the White House, the National Security Council, our intelligence services and U.S. Justice Department let the president play host to Russia's president within less than a week of these arrests?

Lady Gaga is such a mistress of disguise, it's often hard to recognize her.
Enter Jo Calderone, SHOWStudio.com's newest male model, a sexy brunette with a classic look and a possible pop music career on the side.
The brooding brown-haired looker bears a remarkable resemblance to Gaga, whose middle name is Joanne, leading many to speculate that the photos are in fact of the "Alejandro" singer in drag.
British photographer Nick Knight shot the fashion spread, which will reportedly appear in the September issue of Vogue Hommes Japan.
But, more importantly, the shoot was styled by the magazine's fashion director, Nicola Formichetti, who also happens to be Gaga's stylist.
Recent tweets by the pop star's pal Perez Hilton are adding fuel to the rumors that Jo is in fact Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.
